Is The NFL Lockout Over?

The NFL Lockout May Not Be Over? Well, football fans should be pleased to know that the 2011-12 NFL season just may be moving forward after all, thanks to an 88 page injunction issued Monday by U.S. District Judge Susan Richard Nelson that ordered the league’s owners to lift the NFL lockout.  Despite the injunction, however, nothing is written in stone yet because the NFL owners have filed an expedited appeal to the 8th Circuit Federal Court of Appeals, and moved Judge Nelson for a temporary stay of the injunction pending the result of their appeal.  As such, until Judge Nelson rules on the request for a temporary stay of the injunction and the appeal is final, there […]

Milwaukee Brewers’ Mascot Hawk?

It appears that the Milwaukee Brewers may have a mascot? In what can be best described as an eloquent warrior of nature, a young red tail hawk chaperoned the Milwaukee Brewers to their 4-1 victory over the Houston Astros today at Miller Park.   Proudly stationing itself in right field for what one fan estimated to be about 20 minutes, the hawk skillfully supervised the majority of the 3rd inning as the Brewers scored 3 runs against the Astros, not so much as twitching a feather.         “Even when the Brewers hit a home run, and 30,000 + fans were on their feet cheering as the fireworks were exploding, the hawk maintained its ground near […]
